Selling One Owner’s 65 Year Collection of WW2 Militaria and Guns
During the latter stages of WW2, the mass collecting of items relating to the Third Reich began. American soldiers who landed on the beaches of Normandy rushed to collect as many souvenirs from the battlefield as possible, with items such as Luger pistols being treasured possessions, some of which changed hands between troops for cigarette rations and even money.
The fascination for items relating to the Third Reich continued and has grown through the years, with collectors seeking items from this very dark period of world history. May these items, though perhaps considered painfully offensive, help us to honor and remember the American and Allied heroes who fought and gave their lives to stop the atrocities and evil of the Third Reich regime.
